“Telescópio” is the newest cd of the quartet sinequanon, released by Trattore Records in Brasil. The contemporary Jazz group formed by Lupa Santiago (guitar), Vítor Alcântara (saxofone), Guto Brambilla (doublebass) and Carlos Ezequiel (drums) explores collective improvisation concepts.

The group started in1997, when Carlos and Lupa developed a partnership in the USA. In 2000 they recorded the cd “images”, released in Brasil in 2001 (Mix House Records) which was indicated to the Grammy Latino. The quartet was formed for the performances in Brazil and they start calling Sinequanon, then it was recorded the first cd with this quartet(“sinequanon”, Trattore Records, 2004), and after that Sinequanon performed all over Brazil.The search for the original voice through the copmpositions was always a goal, the new cd “Telescópio” keeps the same goal finding inspiration on contemporary Jazz and post modern artistic movements. The title is a reference to the vision of the group, always looking ahead, searching for the new.
