Lupa Santiago released 8 cd’s, as leader: Images (MixHouse 2001- indicated for the Grammy Latino, Jazz em Dobro (MixHouse/Trama 2003), Sinequanon (Tratore 2004), Telescópio (Tratore 2006) , Regra de Três (Tratore 2007) , Horizonte Artificial ( Tratore 2008), Novas Regras (Tratore 2009, and III (Tratore 2011), and also participate and other artist’s recordings: MC4, Bob Kaufman 5tet and Robson Fernandes.
Performances and/or recordings in USA, Europe (Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, etc..) and South America (Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Brazil )with: Jerry Bergonzi, Bill Pierce, Jaleel Shaw, Dave Liebman, Howard Levy, Gary Willys, Magos Herrera, Ronan Guilfoyle, Oscar Stagnaro, Jamey Haddad, Bob Kaufman, Vincent Gardner, Vardan Ovsepian, Ohad Talmor, Benoit Sourisse, André Charlier, Jarmo Savolainen, Markku Ounaskari, Robert Kaufman, to name a few.
In addition, in Brazil, some of the artists and groups he has worked with include Fernando Brandão, Banda Mantiqueira, Nelson Faria, Fernando Corrêa, Sizão Machado, Vinicius Dorin, Bob Wyatt, Daniel D’Alcântara, Rogério Bocato and Nenê .
Lupa Santiago has a Master’s Degree from The Boston Conservatory e Berklee College Of Music (Boston, USA – 2000), graduated from Berklee College Of Music (98) and graduated from Musicians Institute (GIT/Los Angeles, USA- 95). Member of the IASJ board of directors (International Association of Schools of Jazz).
Lupa Santiago is the Coordinator and Vice Director of the Souza Lima Conservatory, a major educational institution in Brazil, the only international University in Brazil (integrated course with Berklee College of Music), Lupa teaches master classes and released two instructional dvd´s, Modern Improvisation I and II, and three books Modern Improvisation I, Odd Meters in Brazilian Music (Play Along) and Dictionary of Chords and Voice Leading (Advance Music/Editora Souza Lima).
